MANILA, Philippines – Kinondena ng Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) sa Calabarzon nitong Miyerkules, Nobyembre 5 ang anumang uri ng korapsyon, misconduct at illegal na aktibidad sangkot ang tauhan nito, kasunod ng pagkakaaresto ng isang opisyal sa Calaca, Batangas.
Ang opisyal, ay Officer-in-Charge ng DENR Community Environment and Natural Office (CENRO) sa nasabing probinsya na naaktuhang tumatanggap ng marked money mula sa complainant.
Sa pahayag, mahigpit na kinondena ng DENR-Calabarzon ang korapsyon at pinagtibay ang commitment nito sa integridad at accountability sa public service.
“The DENR is fully cooperating with any ongoing investigation of the reported incident,” ayon sa ahensya.
Bubuo rin ang ahensya ng internal investigation team para magsagawa ng hiwalay na imbestigasyon sa isyu at masigurong ang lahat ng internal procedures ay matutugunan batay sa civil service laws, rules, at regulasyon.
Upang masiguro ang patuloy na paghahatid ng serbisyo, itinalaga si Supervising Ecosystems Management Specialist Engineer Rosalia Balicanta bilang Officer-in-Charge ng CENRO Calaca.
“The DENR-Calabarzon is committed to transparency and due process, and appropriate actions will be taken based on the results of both internal and external investigations,” saad sa pahayag.
“We also reiterate our call for the public to report any suspected misconduct involving DENR personnel through our official channels so these may be promptly addressed.” RNT/JGC
