MANILA, Philippines – Inalis ni Philippine National Police (PNP) acting chief Police Lieutenant General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. si Police Brigadier General Jean Fajardo bilang tagapagsalita ng organisasyon, kinumpirma ng National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) noong Miyerkules.
Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ng NAPOLCOM na ginawa ni Nartatez ang desisyon dahil wala si Fajardo sa tamang opisina para magsilbing tagapagsalita dahil siya ang kasalukuyang direktor ng Directorate for Comptrollership ng PNP.
“The NAPOLCOM chief likewise welcomed Nartatez’s move to relieve P/BGen. Jean Fajardo as PNP spokesperson, emphasizing the importance of aligning the post with the Public Information Office,” ayon sa NAPOLCOM.
“Nartatez explained that Fajardo is currently detailed with the Directorate for Comptrollership and therefore not in the proper office to serve as spokesperson,” dagdag nito.
Ayon kay Nartatez, hindi na kailangan pa ng bagong spokesperson dahil mayroon namang PNP Public Information Office na pinamumunuan ni chief Police Brigadier General Randulf Tuaño.
“The spokesperson, the Public Information Office, nandyan na kanilang lahat yun. So all the repository of reports, nandyan sa kanya. And hinihimay niya yan so it will be ready to the public katulad niyo kung mayroon kayong tinatanong. Nasa kanya yun,” saad ni Nartatez.
“So bakit mayroon pa tayong spokesperson? He’s the spokesperson,” dagdag niya. RNT/MND
