MANILA, Philippines – Binawi na ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ang permit ng mga baril ni Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) leader Pastor Apollo Quiboloy.
Ayon kay PNP spokesperson Police Colonel Jean Fajardo nitong Biyernes, Abril 26, inaprubahan ni PNP chief Police General Rommel Marbil ang rekomendasyon ng revocation.
Nauna nang inirekomenda ng PNP Firearms and Explosives Office (FEO) ang pagbawi sa permit ng mga baril ni Quiboloy, sa paglabag sa Section 4 (g) ng Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
Sa ilalim ng Standards and Requisites for Issuance of and Obtaining a License to Own and Possess Firearms of the Law, “The applicant has not been convicted or is currently an accused in a pending criminal case before any court of law for a crime that is punishable with a penalty of more than two years.”
Kabilang sa legal disability para sa gun ownership ay ang “pendency of a criminal case with imposable penalty of two years.”
Sa ngayon ay may 19 na armas si Quiboloy at ang lisensya sa isa sa mga ito ay napaso na noong Marso. RNT/JGC
