MANILA, Philippines- Inihayag ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang suporta para sa hydrogen technology sa gitna ng pagharap ng bansa sa epekti ni Severe Tropical Storm Kristine.
Sa kanyang talumpati sa showcase ng Next Generation Tamaraw, sinabi ni Marcos na sa paggamit ng hydrogen technology sa vehicle electrification, nagkaroon ng “sustainable transport solutions.”
Mapaiigting nito ang panawagan ng Pilipinas para sa ‘environmental stewardship,” base kay Marcos.
“Embracing this responsibility becomes even more urgent as we confront the increasing frequency and severity of natural disasters, exacerbated by our position in the typhoon belt,” pahayag ng Pangulo.
“Severe Tropical Storm Kristine has now impacted our nation—particularly up here in Luzon—through relentless rains and flooding, and this underscores, once again, to the –every single Filipino the importance of adaptability and of preparedness,” dagdag niya.
Aniya pa, nilalayon ng Pilipinas na magpatupad ng mas “inclusive, adaptable, and technologically-driven strategies” para sa emissions reduction sa lahat ng sektor at mga industriya.
Matatandaang namuhunan ang Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation ng P5.5 milyon sa produksyon ng Next Generation Tamaraw. RNT/SA
