MANILA, Philippines- Sinabi ng InfinitUs Marketing Solutions Inc. nitong Martes na si Senator Francis Tolentino ay dapat maging “circumspect” sa kanyang mga alegasyon, iginiit na maaari itong makaapekto sa relasyon sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at China, at matapos sabihin ng senador na maaaring maharap ang kompanya sa treason charges dahil sa aniya’y “collaborating with a foreign government.”
Inihayag ito ng legal counsel ng InfinitUs na si Roberto Labe Jr. nang tanungin kung balak nilang magkasa ng legal na aksyon laban kay Tolentino sa pagbatikos ni Paul Li— incorporator ng kompanya na dumalo sa parehong press conference— sa mga alegasyon.
“It is also his duty to protect the Philippines but what we are trying to do here is, he must be a little bit circumspect because this is not just an ordinary accusation. It involves diplomatic relations between China and the Philippines,” pahayag ni Labe sa Pandesal Forum sa Kamuning Bakery sa Quezon City.
“We have other right agencies that must have handled this case like our DFA [Department of Foreign Affairs],” dagdag niya.
Sa Senate investigation kamakailan sa submersible drones at umano’y Chinese spying activities sa Pilipinas, binanggit ni Tolentino ang public relations firm, inakusahan itong kinontrata umano ng Chinese Embassy upang mag-hire ng trolls upang isulong ang pro-China narratives sa Pilipinas.
Sa kasalukuyan, ang InfinitUs ay “not yet thinking of filing a case” dahil binubusisi pa nila ang kanilang mga aksyon.
