MANILA, Philippines – IPINAG-UTOS ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang integrasyon o pagsasama-sama ng lahat ng mga flood control management projects ng bansa sa ilalim ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
“This is a direct instruction of the President to me, that we have to integrate all these components in the… particularly in the major projects, flood control projects of the department,” ayon kay DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan sa press briefing sa Malakanyang.
“So, this is what we are going to do in… although there have been some flood control projects that the department has been implementing with these components. But we will, of course, enhance actually the formulation of the other structures that are needed for irrigation, water supply and power because the budget of the Department Public Works and Highways over the years have… for flood control program is increasing tremendously,” dagdag na wika nito.
Ani Bonoan, para sa fiscal year 2024, ang kabuuang budget ng DPWH para sa flood control projects kapuwa para sa foreign-assisted at locally funded ay P300 billion.
“I think this is a good source of what the President calls the integrated water resource management program for irrigation, water supply and the power if necessary,” ang pahayag ni Bonoan. Kris Jose
