MANILA, Philippines – Inanunsyo ng Department of Energy (DOE)-Visayas Field Office nitong Miyerkules, Agosto 12 ang 15-day price freeze para sa liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) sa cylinders at kerosene products sa Bacolod City.
Tinukoy sa direktiba ang Bacolod City Council Resolution 887 na ipinasa noong Agosto 5 na nagdedeklara ng state of calamity dahil sa red-striped soft scale insect (RSSI) infestation sa mga taniman ng tubo sa lungsod.
Valid ang price freeze ng 15 araw o mula Agosto 6 hanggang 20 at ipatutupad ang presyong ginagamit bago ang implementasyon ng state of calamity.
“Any rollback of prices, however, shall be implemented while price increases are strictly prohibited within the 15-day period counted from the day of the state of calamity implementation,” saad sa abiso ng DOE-Visayas.
Sa ngayon ay may 350 sugarcane farmers at 2,000 farm workers ang apektado ng infestation at may kabuuang 2,000 ektaryang sakahan ang apektado. RNT/JGC
