MANILA, Philippines – Naglunsad na ang pulisya ng manhunt sa ikadarakip ng mga nasa likod ng pananambang kay retired Army Col. Leonardo Songcayo sa Cotabato noong nakaraang linggo.
“Our commanders in the area have already been instructed to leave no stone unturned in the conduct of the investigation,” sinabi ni Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. nitong Lunes, Pebrero 9.
“The main priority is to identify those responsible and arrest them in the soonest possible time,” giit pa niya.
Matatandaan na binaril-patay si Songcayo ng ilang gunman sa Matalam, Cotabato noong Biyernes.
Siya ay kasalukuyang presidente ng Cotabato Provincial Federation of Senior Citizens Association of the Philippines at Kidama Communal Irrigators’ Association.
Nag-alok na ang lokal na pamahalaan ng P500,000 pabuya sa sinumang makapagbibigay ng impormasyon sa ikaaaresto ng mga sangkot dito.
“We urge the public to immediately inform authorities if they have relevant information that can help resolve this case,” ani Nartatez. RNT/JGC
