MANILA, Philippines- Asahan na ng electric consumers ang pagbaba sa transmission charges sa kanilang bills para sa buwan ng Oktubre, base sa National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) nitong Huwebes.
Paliwanag ng NGCP, bagama’t tumaas ang transmission wheeling rates ng 3.68% mula P0.4761/kWh noong Agosto sa P0.4936/kWh noong Setyembre, ang Ancillary Service (AS) rates para sa Setyembre ay bumaba sa P0.5680/kWh mula sa P0.6127/kWh noong Agosto.
“Overall, when we add the rates there is a downward trend on the transmission rates that is from P1.22 per kilowatt hour in August to P1.19 per kilowatt hour [in September]. Hence, a difference of P0.0274 per kilowatt per hour, when you round this up, this is a reduction of P0.03 per kilowatt hour,” pahayag ni Ryan Datinggaling, NGCP head of revenue management department, sa isang briefing nitong Huwebes.
“Yung transmission rate namin is per grid. Iba yung charges sa Luzon, iba sa Visayas, iba sa Mindanao. Tapos each distribution utility will translate our charges according to the nuances ng franchise area nila,” ani NGCP spokesperson Cynthia Alabanza.
Nauna nang sinabi ng Manila Electric Company na asahan na ng consumers nito ang rollback sa power rates ngayng Okturbe dahil sa mas mababang Wholesale Electricity Spot Market charges. RNT/SA
