MANILA, Philippines – Susunod nang masasampahan ng reklamo ang mga kontratista na sina Curlee at Sarah Discaya sa maanomalyang flood control projects, ayon kay Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla.
Ang pahayag na ito ni Remulla ay matapos ang paghahain ng malversation at two counts ng graft charges ng Office of the Ombudsman laban kina dating Ako Bicol partylist representative Zaldy Co, ilang opisyal ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Southern Tagalog, at mga direktor ng Sunwest Corporation kaugnay sa umano’y substandard na P289 milyong flood control project sa Oriental Mindoro.
“Sa tingin ko, baka sumunod rito, Discaya na. Tapos na ‘yung PI (preliminary investigation) sa ibang Discaya cases eh. It’s already submitted for resolution na ‘yun,” sinabi ni Remulla.
“At least three cases [are done with the preliminary investigation]. There are nine Discaya cases in total. Ganun din ‘yan. Malversation [charge] rin ‘yan, saka plunder rin ‘yan… depende sa amount involved. Baka early next week [mai-file na iyong tatlo]. Tingnan natin kung kaya abutin ang Friday. Kasi for resolution na ‘yan eh,” dagdag ni Remulla. RNT/JGC
