MANILA, Philippines – TINIYAK ni National Security Council (NSC) spokesperson Jonathan Malaya (NSC) na ang muling pagsasaayos sa council ay hindi indikasyon ng anumang labanan sa sektor ng seguridad sa bansa.
Hiningan kasi ng komento si Malaya sa espekulasyon ukol sa napaulat na ang reorganization di umano ay senyales o tanda ng paghihiwalay sa loob ng security sector.
“Wala pong rift sa security sector. Ang atin pong mga unipormadong sundalo, personnel ng ating pamahalaan, ay 100 percent behind the constituted authority and the chain of command,” ang sinabi ni Malaya sa Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon briefing.
Araw ng Linggo, sinabi ni dating Bayan Muna Rep. Neri Colmenares na ang desisyon ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. na ireorganisa ang NSC, dahilan ng pagkakatanggal ni Vice President Sara Duterte at mga nakalipas na Pangulo ng bansa bilang mga miyembro ay maaaring bunsod ng “widening rift between the Marcos and Duterte factions.”
“These steps show the real face of Philippine politics—a big dispute for power between dynasties while the Filipino people suffer in poverty. Prices of electricity, fuel, water, and even SSS pensions have increased, but the budget for social services was brought down, but the Marcoses and the Dutertes do not care,” ang sinabi ni Colmenares sa isang kalatas.
Samantala, kinuwestiyon naman ni Bagong Alyansang Makabayan President Renato Reyes Jr. kung ang political tension sa pagitan ng kampo ni Marcos at Duterte ay senyales din ng labanan sa loob ng military establishment, dahil na rin sa may ilang opisyal ang sumusuporta sa partikular na personalidad.
“The Vice President and former President [Rodrigo] Duterte and their ally former President [Gloria Macapagal] Arroyo are known political opponents of the President. Their removal may also signal fears of a possible rift within the military establishment,” ang sinabi naman ni Reyes. Kris Jose
