MANILA, Philippines – TINATAYANG umabot na sa P6 milyong piso ang halaga ng relief goods na ipinaabot sa mga residenteng apektado ng pananalasa ng bagyong Uwan (international name: Fung-wong).
“Of this amount, P4.4 million was extended by the DSWD (Department of Social Welfare and Development); P447,060 came from various local government units; and P1.5 million was provided by other partners,” ayon kay Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Assistant Secretary Rafael Alejandro IV sa press briefing sa Camp Aguinaldo, araw ng Lunes.
Kabilang sa ipinagkaloob na tulong aniya ay 4,776 family food packs; 2,699 ready-to-eat food packs; at 150 modular tents sa iba’t ibang apektadong rehiyon.
“Our DSWD has a stockpile on hand, amounting to P2.3 million,” aniya pa rin.
Sinabi pa ni Alejandro na may 1.4 milyong indibiduwal ang ‘preemptively evacuated’ sa Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, Negros Island Region, Central Visayas, at Eastern Visayas.
Winika pa rin nito na may 318,000 katao ang nananatili sa 6,000 na lugar sa Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, Negros Island Region, Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, at Caraga.
