MANILA, Philippines- Itinanggi ng Office of Civil Defense (OCD) nitong Martes ang isang video kung saan inanunsyo umano ng pinuno nitong dumating sa bansa ang military equipment mula sa United States at France.
“The OCD learned that a video was published online, reporting the ‘arrival of military equipment from the United States and France’ in the Philippines. Stated in the video was misinformation/disinformation involving the agency and its Civil Defense Administrator, Undersecretary Ariel Nepomuceno,” pahayag nito.
Nilinaw din nito na hindi si Nepomuceno ang commandant ng Philippine Marine Corps at walang inilabas na pahayag ang ahensya ukol dito.
“Further, video/photos of Undersecretary Nepomuceno shown in the video are during a press conference on El Niño preparations in 2023,” giit ng OCD.
Pinaalalahanan din nito ang publiko na tanging “credible” at “reliable” sources lamang ang pagkunan ng impormasyon. RNT/SA
