MANILA, Philippines – Dahil naiiba ang kilos ng mga tao sa camera, mas mabuti pa rin para sa Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) na panatilihing sarado sa publiko ang mga paglilitis nito.
Ito ay binigyang-diin ni Senador Sherwin Gatchalian matapos ipahayag ni retired Supreme Court Associate Justice Andres Reyes Jr., chair ng ICI, noong Miyerkules sa pagdinig ng Senado na ang komisyon ay magsisimulang mag-livestream ng mga paglilitis nito sa susunod na linggo.
“To be honest, I’d prefer not to livestream it because people tend to act differently when there’s a public audience. These are commissioners—they’re human too—and if there’s already a public watching, their demeanor or approach might change,” saad ni Gatchalian.
Sa halip na real-time broadcast, iminungkahi ng senador na ilabas na lamang ng ICI ang mga transcript ng mga pagdinig nito.
“So the public can still follow [what’s happening],” ani Gatchalian.
“It’s really different when there’s a camera. People tend to act differently—your behavior changes, how you project yourself. That’s what I’m worried about, so let’s wait and see,” dagdag niya. RNT/MND
