MANILA, Philippines – Sisimulan ng House tri-committee, o ang infrastructure committee, ang imbestigasyon sa pagpapatupad ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ng mga proyektong pang-imprastraktura, partikular sa pagbaha, sa Setyembre 2, ayon kay Bicol Saro Rep. Terry Ridon.
Inihayag ito ni Ridon, na namumuno sa House committee on public accounts, sa isang press conference noong Huwebes. Ang kanyang panel ay magiging bahagi ng tri-committee, kasama ang dalawa pang panel — ang committee on public works, sa pangunguna ni Surigao del Sur Rep. Romeo Momo Sr., at ang committee on good government, sa pangunguna ni Manila Rep. Joel Chua.
“The House infrastructure committee will start the hearing on September 2 and will begin at 9 a.m. this coming Tuesday. And all the resource persons who need to be invited, all the contractors that the President mentioned here, who have secured major flood-control projects,” ani Ridon.
“Let’s also invite the Sims Construction Trading, the contractor of ghost projects in Bulacan. Let’s also invite government agencies to provide context here in the process of having projects, including the GPPB (Government Procurement Policy Board) and the PCAB (Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board),” dagdag niya.
Nauna rito, sinabi ni Ridon na magsisimula ang pagsisiyasat sa listahan ni Marcos, na binubuo ng 15 kontratista, at susuriin kung natapos, naantala, substandard, o mas masahol pa, ang mga ghost projects nila.
Gayunpaman, sinabi niya na ang layunin ng tri-comm ay tukuyin ang mga anomalyang proyekto sa pagkontrol sa baha, na magsisilbing “trigger” para sa mas malalim na pagsisiyasat, kabilang ang mga posibleng ugnayan sa pagitan ng mga mambabatas at mga kontratista na ito. RNT/MND
