MANILA, Philippines – Mariing itinanggi ni Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chairman Richard Bachmann ng paratang ni Commissioner Matthew “Fritz’ Gaston kaugnay sa umano’y problema sa disbursement na nangyayari sa kanyang ahensiya.
Sa statement ni Bachmann, pinabulaanan nito ang paratang ni Gaston na pinarating sa Malacanang tungkol sa financial disbursement sa ilalim ng kanyang pamumuno bilang PSC chairman.
“First and foremost, I categorically denied any claims of misconduct or impropriety related to my position as Chairman of PSC. The allegations made against me, particularly those concerning financial decisions and requests for reimbursements, are misleading and lack substantiated evidence. I have always conducted myself with utmost integrity and have remained committed to transparency and the responsible management of the commission’s resources,” sabi ni Bachmann.
“I understand that as public servants, we are subject to scrutiny and must be held accountable for our actions. I welcome any fair and impartial investigation that aims to clarify these claims and promote accountability within the commission. However, I also stress that public accusations, particularly when leaked or shared outside proper channels have the potential to undermine the trust and unity necessary within our institution,” pahayag ni Bachmann.
Nilinaw ni Bachmann na ang PSC ay collegial body at nagtatrabaho bilang team kagaya ng basketball para matupad ang inaasam-asam na tagumpay.
“We should work as team to achieve the ultimate goal all of us in the commission are longing for,” wika ni Bachmann.
“It’s normal personal bickering and minor issues and problems arise in the agency. These should discuss and tackle amicably and harmoniously within the backyard of the agency and not bring out to the public,” paliwanag ng 51 years old dating national basketball player at ex-PBA player.
“It is my hope PSC move forward attain success for the good of Philippine sports and national athletes the agency bounds to serve. All matters concerning the PSC, including legitimate concerns and criticisms, are stressed within the bounds of proper protocol and due process to maintain the integrity of the institutions and ensure that we remained focus serving the athletes and the greater Philippine sports community,” sabi ni Bachmann.
Nagsilbi si Bachmann bilang pang labing dalawang chairman ng PSC mula ng itatag ito noong 1999 bilang policy making at coordinating body ng lahat ng amateur sports at grassroots program.RICO NAVARRO
