MANILA, Philippines- Inanunsyo ng Department of Education (DepEd) nitong Miyerkules ang pagtutok sa konstruksyon ng mga bagong silid-aralan at school buildings upang tugunan ang backlog.
Ayon kay Education Secretary Sonny Angara, itinutulak ng ahensya ang public-private partnerships (PPPs) bilang solusyon sa classroom backlogs.
“This means large-scale projects, such as 1,000 classrooms. We will bid out 1,000 school buildings and offer them to the private sector for construction,” pahayag ni Angara.
Sa dayalogo kamakailan sa school leaders at mga guro sa La Paz, Tarlac, hinimok din ni Angara ang mga miyembro ng komunidad na tumulong sa pagpapakalat ng impormasyon hinggil sa Adopt-A-School Program ng ahensya.
“Other business owners or charitable organizations may not know this, but inform them that they can deduct the cost from their taxable income when they donate a school building,” anang opisyal. RNT/SA
