MANILA, Philippines – Marami pang kasong administratibo at kriminal ang isinampa laban sa police major na umano’y nang harass sa isang Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) cadet, sinabi ng National Police Commission (Napolcom) noong Biyernes.
Ito ay matapos mag-report ng dalawa pang kadete na diumano’y sekswal na hinaras din ng police major.
“They reported it to us last Sept. 16. I talked to them myself,” ayon kay Napolcom Vice Chairperson and Executive Officer Rafael Calinisan.
“We investigated it and the cases here in the National Police Commission, the admin cases, those were filed Oct. 15, if I’m not mistaken,” dagdag niya.
Tungkol naman sa mga kasong kriminal, isa lamang sa dalawang bagong biktima ang nagsampa ng reklamo para sa sexual harassment sa korte ng Silang, Cavite laban sa police major, ayon kay PNPA Director Brig. Gen. Andre Dizon.
Bagama’t hindi sinabi ni Dizon kung kailan naganap ang umanong mga insidente ng dalawang bagong kaso, sinabi niya na dinala umano ng police major ang bawat isa sa tatlong biktima sa kanyang personal quarters at doon ay sexual na hinaras.
“All of his victims had pending case before the PNPA. He offered to help them and those he approached really hoped for his assistance. That’s how he was able to do it.”
Ang unang biktima ay umano’y sekswal na hinaras noong madaling araw noong Hulyo 31.
Nagsampa siya ng reklamo para sa acts of lasciviousness laban sa police major sa Silang-Amadeo Municipal Circuit Trial Court noong Agosto 7.
Pormal na kinasuhan ng Napolcom ang police major ng grave misconduct at conduct unbecoming of a police officer noong Agosto 22.
“This incident is really isolated because we truly did not expect an officer to act this way,” saad ni Dizon.
“All of those assigned here undergo vetting or a complete background investigation. This time, we tightened it in such a way that even their personal activities are being monitored,” dagdag niya. RNT/MND
