MANILA, Philippines- Binuksan ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) ang aplikasyon para sa special permits para sa public utility vehicles (PUVs) bilang paghahanda sa pagdagsa ng commuters sa loob at sa labas ng Metro Manila sa holiday season.
Sinabi ni LTFRB Chairperson Atty. Teofilo Guadiz III nitong Linggo na nagsimula ang aplikasyon para sa special permits para sa Transport Network Vehicle Services (TNVS) noong nakaraang linggo. Para sa ibang PUVs, bubuksan ang aplikasyon sa Disyembre 15.
“Iyong special permits ng TNVS, it opened last week, we have given 5,000 new units for the TNVS,” pahayag ng LTFRB head.
“For the special permit for Christmas, we will start opening the application on December 15 and then the special permit would be from December 20, 2024 to January 4, 2025,” dagdag ni Guadiz.
Samantala, ang aplikasyon para sa special permits para sa public utility buses (PUBs) ay nagsimula noong Nobyembre 18 at natapos noong Nobyembre 29. Magagamit ang special permit mula Disyembre 23, 2024 hanggang Enero 3, 2025
“Like the usual practice, we are opening slots for special permits to ensure that there are ample PUVs that would cater to our riding public during the holidays,” giit ng LTFRB chief.
“Please patronize legitimate public transportation, follow safety protocols, and report any overcharging, overloading, or other violations through our official hotlines and channels,” paghimok naman ng opisyal sa mga mananakay. RNT/SA
