MANILA, Philippines – Inilabas na ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) ang unang batch ng monthly financial assistant para sa mga operator ng modern public utility vehicle (PUV) na nagkakahalaga ng mahigit P9 milyon.
Ayon sa LTFRB, ang 16 tseke na nagkakahalaga ng P9,080,000 ay inisyu sa 16 Transport Service Entities (TSEs) sa buong bansa.
“Based on the guidelines released by the LTFRB, registered and accredited TSEs will be provided a fixed amount of P20,000 for monthly amortization payments to settle existing loans for each modern PUV unit that had been acquired from the beginning of the program until the effectivity of the order,” saad sa kalatas ng LTFRB.
Sinabi rin ng ahensya na ang accredited operator ng TSEis ay tumugon sa Public Transportation Modernization Program (PTMP) sa kabila ng mga pangamba sa tumataas na operational costs para sa mga PUV.
Ayon kay LTFRB Acting Chairperson Greg Pua, ang mga nakapagbayad na ng kanilang unit ay maaari pa ring makapag-avail ng P20,000 monthly amortization sa paggamit ng pondo para sa operational expenses.
“This is just the first batch of the release of the financial assistance from the national government. There will be more in the coming days for the operators of modern PUVs who are either having difficulty paying the loan for their unit, or making ends meet due to rising operational costs,” ani Pua.
Ang probisyon para sa P20,000 subsidiya ay unang inanunsyo ni Transport Secretary Giovanni Lopez noong Agosto at sinabing ang ahensya ay mayroong P1.5 bilyong pondo sa ilalim ng PTMP. RNT/JGC
