MANILA, Philippines – Inaresto ng mga awtoridad ang vlogger na si Norman Mangusin o kilala bilang si Francis Leo Marcos, sa isang hotel sa Pasay City.
Ayon kay National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) vice chairperson at executive officer Rafael Vicente Calinisan nitong Martes, Pebrero 24, isinilbi ng Criminal Investigation and Detection Group – National Capital Region (CIDG-NCR) ang warrant.
“I confirm that the PNP-CIDG-NCR just arrested Mangusin in (a hotel) by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 294 of Parañaque,” ani Calinisan.
“Also present were the Pasay City Police and operatives from the NAPOLCOM [Inspection, Monitoring, and Investigation Service]. Tagumpay po ito ng hustisya sa Pilipinas. Crime does not pay. I will visit Mangusin later when he arrives in CIDG,” dagdag pa nito.
Noong Pebrero 17, sinabi ng CIDG na iniimbestigahan ng unit nito si Mangusin dahil sa viral na larawan niya na nakasuot ng uniporme ng pulis.
Nauna nang sinita ng PNP si Mangusin at nagsabi na posibleng sampahan ito ng reklamong “usurpation of authority and illegal use of uniforms or insignia.”
Sinuportahan ng NAPOLCOM ang imbestigasyon ng PNP kay Mangusin.
Nag-ugat ito sa larawang kumalat online na si Mangusin ay nakasuot ng “ceremonial blue” police uniform.
Sinabi naman ng vlogger na ang larawan ay inedit at pinakalat umano online ng kanyang mga kritiko. RNT/JGC
