MANILA, Philippines – Sinupalpal si Vice President Sara Duterte ng ilang mga mambabatas dahil sa pagsasabing siya ang “designated survivor” sa ikatlong State of the Nation Address (Sona) ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Ang walang kwentang birong ito umano ni Duterte ay senyales na hindi dapat pagkatiwalaan ang Bise Presidente.
Sa magkakahiwalay na pahayag nitong Biyernes, Hulyo 12 o isang araw matapos na sabihin ni Duterte ang naturang pahayag, binatikos nina senior deputy floor leader at Pampanga Rep. Aurelio Gonzales Jr. kasama ang mga miyembro ng “Young Guns” coalition ang Bise Presidente na pagdudulot ng alarma at pagbibigay ng ideya ng pambobomba sa nalalapit na SONA ng Pangulo.
Ito ang kauna-unahang pagbatikos ng mga top lider ng Kamara laban kay Duterte.
“We don’t even know if we can still trust her now. Whatever happened to some decency or at least being forthright in public service?” ani Gonzales.
“There’s no such thing as ‘designated survivor’ in the Philippines. Is she spending too much time watching Netflix? She better read our Constitution. It’s as clear as sunlight,” dagdag pa niya.
Ang tinutukoy ni Gonzales ay ang Netflix series na “Designated Survivor” na patungkol sa isang minor US Cabinet official na naging president matapos masawi sa pambobomba ang iba pang miyembro ng US line of succession kasabay ng State of the Union address.
Bilang Bise Presidente ay direct successor ni Marcos si Duterte sa constitutional line of succession, sinusundan ng Senate President at House Speaker.
Bukod sa mga nabanggit na mambabatas, kinondena rin nina Isabela Rep. Inno Dy V, 1-Rider party list Rep. Rodge Gutierrez, Davao Oriental Rep. Cheeno Miguel Almario, La Union Rep. Paolo Ortega V, Lanao del Sur Rep. Zia Alonto Adiong, Ako Bicol party list Rep. Jil Bongalon, at Zambales Rep. Jay Khonghun ang masamang biro ni Duterte. RNT/JGC
