MANILA, Philippines – Walang nakatakdang pagdinig ang Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) sa susunod na linggo, ayon sa executive director nitong si Brian Keith Hosaka noong Huwebes.
“Next week, there will be no hearing because Commissioner (Rogelio) Babes Singson will not be available the entire week,” ayon kay Hosaka.
Binasa rin ni Hosaka ang pahayag ni ICI chair Andres Reyes Jr., na nagsasabing ang komisyon ay kailangang pag-aralan at i-draft muna ang rules of procedure at parameters bago ito mag-live streaming sa mga pagdinig nito.
“We hear the clamor of the Filipino people for more transparency, and we are pushing to livestream the hearings as soon as possible,” ayon kay Reyes.
“However, before we do so, the ICI would need to study and draft the rules of procedure and parameters to allow for live streaming, taking into consideration sensitive information and the Constitutional rights of invited resource persons,” dagdag niya.
Noong Miyerkules, inanunsyo ni Andres sa Senado na i-livestream ng ICI ang mga investigative proceedings nito sa mga maanomalyang proyekto sa pagkontrol sa baha at iba pang kaduda-dudang imprastraktura ng gobyerno simula sa susunod na linggo. RNT/MND
