MANILA, Philippines- Target ng Kamara na irekomenda na magkaroon ng isang taong suspensyon ng pagbabayad ng premium payments sa PhilHealth, ayon kay House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
Ayon kay Romualdez, isang imbestigsayon ang isasagawa ng Kamara ukol sa fund management ng PhilHealth sa susunod na taon at kasabay nito ay paghahanap ng solusyon kung paano mapapggaan ang pagbabayad ng premium ng mga miyembro.
“Next year, the House of Representatives will also conduct a thorough and impartial investigation into how PhilHealth’s funds are being managed. This investigation is not about blame. It’s about funding solutions. Our goal is clear: to ensure that every peso in PhilHealth’s coffers works for the benefit of the members,” pahayag ni Romualdez sa huling araw ng Plenary session ng Kamara bago ang kanilang Christmas break.
“If funds remain stable and in surplus, we will recommend a one year suspension of premium payments for all paying members,” pahayag ni Romualdez.
Ang PhilHealth ay binigyan ng zero subsidy sa ilalim ng 2025 budget sa basehang mayroon itong P600 bilyong surplus o sobrang pondo na dapat muna nilang gamitin. Gail Mendoza
