“Their modus operandi involved sending fraudulent messages demanding representation fees from project holders and suppliers using social media accounts that impersonated the Army chief,” pahayag ni Dema-ala sa press briefing sa Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City nitong Martes.

Kasalukuyang nasa ilalim ng kustodiya ng PNP-CIDG ang mga suspek na nahaharap sa kasong illegal usurpation, illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, at possession of illegal drugs.

“The arrest of the suspects underscores the Army’s zero tolerance for fraud, especially schemes that gravely undermine the integrity of our organization,” pahayag ni Dema-ala.

“The Philippine Army clarifies that no one in our organization, including the commanding general, may demand any form of solicitation or monetary requirements for any of its transactions. It also does not accept payment of any kind from its applicants and aspiring soldiers during the recruitment process.”
