MANILA, Philippines – Magsasagawa ng imbestigasyon ang Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) upang matukoy ang posibleng administrative liability ng dalawang aktibong military officers na tumanggap umano ng malaking bahagi ng confidential funds mula sa mga opisinang pinamamahalaan ni Vice President Sara Duterte.
Ang tinutukoy ni AFP spokesperson Colonel Francel Padilla ay sina Colonels Dennis Nolasco at Raymund Dante Lachica ng Vice Presidential Security and Protection Group (VPSPG).
“This is an ongoing investigation. In our part for the Armed Forces of the Philippines, we’re looking at the merits of the case on kung ano po ang pwede naming makita do’n in terms of administrative issues that we have to address,” ani Padilla sa isang press conference.
“And kung meron man, that’s when we will be acting accordingly,” dagdag pa niya.
Sa nakaraang pagdinig, sinabi ng disbursement officers ng Office of the Vice President at Department of Education na milyon-milyong halaga ng confidential funds ang inilipat nila sa dalawang military officers.
Nanindigan si Duterte na ginamit niya sa maayos ang pondo ng OVP at test case lamang para sa kanyang impeachment ang congressional inquiry.
Nitong Lunes, pormal nang naghain ng impeachment complaint ang advocacy groups laban kay Duterte.
Ang reklamo ay nag-ugat mula sa umano’y paglabag ni Duterte sa Konstitusyon, graft and corruption, bribery, betrayal of public trust, at iba pang krimen.
