MANILA, Philippines – Tiniyak ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez na hindi makakaapekto sa trabaho ng mga mambabatas ngayong pagbubukas ng Third Regular Session ng Kongreso ang nalalapit na midterm election.
“We are committed to maintaining legislative momentum despite the approaching national elections in 2025.Our priority is to ensure that critical bills are passed and that the legislative process continues to serve the people’s needs effectively. We will navigate the political landscape with a focus on stability and progress,” pahayag ni Romualdez.
Ngayong araw, Lunes, Hulyo 22 ang simula ng Third and Final Regular Session at pangunahing magiging agenda ng Kamara ay ang pagdeliberate sa national budget.
Samantala ang pagsusumite ng certificates of candidacy (COC) para sa 2025 polls ay sa Oktubre.
Ayon kay Romualdez, inaasahan ng Kamara ang “”strong collaborative relationship” sa bagong liderato ng Senado sa ilalim ni Senate Preisdent Sen. Chiz Escudero.
