MANILA, Philippines – Inilarawan ni Philippine National Police chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil ang halalan bilang ‘very peaceful’ sa kabila ng mga ulat ng suspected election-related violence.
“[It was] very peaceful,” ani Marbil.
“As I said, we will get rid of those who will disrupt the elections and we want arrests. I want more arrests. No one should disrupt the elections,” dagdag pa niya.
Sa naunang press briefing, sinabi ni PNP public information office chief, Col. Randulf Tuano, na may mga natanggap silang report ng election-related violence sa Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) at iba pang lugar.
Ganito rin ang sinabi ng Cordillera police sa pagsasabing ang eleksyon sa rehiyon ay “generally peaceful and orderly.”
