MANILA, Philippines- Sinuspinde ang tatlo pang driving schools sa Metro Manila at sa Cavite sa loob ng 30 araw dahil sa umano’y pagkakasangkot sa ilegal na pag-isyu ng mga rekisitos na kinakailangan para sa aplikasyon ng driver’s license.
Sinabi ni LTO chief, Assistant Secretary Vigor D. Mendoza na nagpalabas din ng Show Cause Order sa driving schools na nakabase sa Caloocan City, Las Piñas City at sa bayan ng Silang sa Cavite upang ipaliwanag nila kung bakit hindi sila dapat parusahan sa mga aktibidad na katumbas ng fixing.
Kasunod ang suspensyon ng operasyon ng tatlong driving schools matapos ding ipag-utos ni Mendoza ang suspensyon ng driving schools sa Lucena City at Tarlac para sa parehong offense.
Batay sa imbestigasyon, nag-iisyu umano ang limang driving schools ng certificates para sa Theoretical Driving Course (TDC) at Practical Driving Course (PDC) kahit na hindi maabot ang required hours at training —at kahit na hindi sumipot ang aplikante sa training hangga’t mayroong bayad.
Ang dalawang dokumento ang mga pangunahing rekisitos sa aplikasyon para sa driver’s license.
“This illegal practice is dangerous. It must be stopped since those who were issued with fraudulent driver’s licenses would most likely endanger the lives of road users for lack of proper training and education,” giit ni Assec Mendoza.
“You are directed to submit your verified answer within five (5) days of receipt of this Order, providing an explanation why no disciplinary action should be taken against your driving school,” saad sa SCO.
“Failure to submit your verified answer within the specified timeframe will result in an ex parte proceeding. Non-compliance will be construed as a waiver of your right, leading this Committee to resolve the case based on the available records,” dagdag pa rito. RNT/SA
