Pinatawan ng Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) (CIDG) ang 10 miyembro nito sa restrictive custody dahil sa mga kasong robbery extortion at kidnapping.
Batay sa ulat ng Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (IMEG), iniutos ang kanilang pagka-detain sa PNP custodial facility.
“Last Monday, April 28, upon receipt ng report ng (of the report of) Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (IMEG), immediately, Gen. Torre put under restrictive custody 10 CIDG personnel and ordered them to be detained,” ani PNP spokesperson Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo sa isang press briefing held sa Camp Crame.
Ang mga CIDG personnel ay inakusahan ng pag-raid sa Tondo warehouse noong Pebrero 2025, pagdukot sa mga biktima, at paghihingi ng pera kapalit ng kanilang pagpapalaya.
Pinuna ni CIDG Director Maj. Gen. Nicolas Torre III ang insidente at sinabi niyang magsasampa ng administratibong kaso laban sa mga pulis dahil sa maling asal at kapabayaan. Santi Celario
