MANILA, Philippines- Ligtas na nakauwi sa Pilipinas ang 74 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) mula sa Lebanon, ayon sa Department of Migrant Workers (DMW).
Sa ulat nitong Miyerkules, sinabi ng DMW na dumating ang OFWs sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 sa Pasay City nitong Martes.
Idinagdag nito na ang migrant workers “voluntarily availed themselves of the government repatriation program” upang makauwi sila sa Pilipinas.
“The repatriation of the batch brings the total to 1,564 OFWs and 65 dependents who have safely returned from Lebanon through Philippine government on-site, shelter, repatriation and post-arrival assistance since the start of Israel-Hamas conflict in October 2023,” anang ahensya.
Sinalubong ng ilang DMW officials, kasama ang mga kinatawan mula sa Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, Department of Health, at Department of Social Welfare and Development, ang repatriates. RNT/SA
