MANILA, Philippines- Tinuglisa ng gobyerno ng Pilipinas ang nagpapatuloy na paglulunsad ng ballistic missile ng North Korea.
Sa katunayan, inilarawan ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) ang nasabing pagkilos bilang “provocation that undermines regional peace and stability.”
Dahil dito, nanawagan ang DFA sa North Korea na agad itigil ang ganitong mga aktibidad at sumunod sa lahat ng international obligations, kabilang na ang kaugnay sa United Nations Security Council resolutions.
Hinimok din ng DFA ang Pyongyang na mag-commit sa mapayapa at nakapagbibigay-linaw na dayalogo.
“The Philippines expresses serious concern and strongly denounces the continuing ballistic missile launches conducted by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK),” wika ng DFA.
“Such provocative actions undermine economic progress, peace, and stability in the Korean Peninsula and the Indo-Pacific region,” dagdag na pahayag nito.
Tinuran pa ng departamento na nais ng Manila na makita ang pangmatagalang kapayapaan sa Peninsula at nanawagan para sa isang “complete, verifiable, and irreversible denuclearization” ng DPRK.
Sa ulat, naglunsad ang North Korea ng multiple short-range ballistic missiles noong nakaraang linggo. Ito ang ulat ng South Korean government na hindi naman sinabi kung saan ito bumagsak.
