MANILA, Philippines- Dumating ang bagong batch ng US troops sa Pilipinas upang magsanay kasama ang kanilang Filipino counterpart sa pagpapatuloy ng Washington sa pagpapalakas nito sa “cooperative relations with important allies and partners” sa rehiyon, base sa US military.
Kasalukuyang nasa bansa ang US marines at sailors bilang bahagi ng ikatlong annual rotational deployment ng Marine Rotational Force-Southeast Asia (MRF-SEA).
Sisimulan ng MRF-SEA forces ang kanilang six-month stint sa rehiyon sa pakikipagsanay kasama ang Philippine troops para sa SAMASAMA at KAMANDAG 8 exercises mula Oct. 7 hanggang 24.
Ayon sa US military, nilalayon ng deployment ng mga sundalo nito ang “increasing effective interoperability” sa pagitan ng pwersang Amerikano at Pilipino.
“This consistent Marine Corps presence provides a persistent, tailorable force capable of command and control, operational planning, and theater security cooperation activities whenever needed,” giit ng US military.
“We train together to strengthen our relationships and collective capabilities, and the intent of MRF-SEA is to cultivate and reinforce the common values and capabilities between our partners and to preserve a rules-based international order,” sabi pa ni Col.
