MANILA, Philippines – Siniguro ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) na poproteksyunan ang karapatan ng dalawang junior officers laban sa isang senior military officer.
“The AFP assures the complainants that their rights are fully protected and that they are being safeguarded from any form of intimidation or undue influence throughout the process,” saad sa pahayag nitong Martes, Mayo 20.
Sinabi ng AFP na siniseryoso nila ang lahat ng uri ng misconduct at pagsuway sa military disiplina.
“In relation to complaints filed by two junior officers, an internal investigation established prima facie evidence warranting further legal action,” giit pa ng AFP.
Bilang bahagi ng standard procedure, agad na inalis sa pwesto ang inireklamong senior officer matapos maihain ang reklamo.
Hindi na tinukoy ng AFP ang eksaktong ranggo at branch ng serbisyo ng akusado at complainants.
“A pre-trial investigation was subsequently conducted and has since been completed. The case is now pending the approval of the convening authority for referral to a General Court Martial (GCM) and its eventual convening.”
Samantala, siniguro ng military sa publiko ang commitment nito sa due process, transparency, at accountability sa ilalim ng military justice system.
“The AFP continues to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and discipline in the fulfillment of its sworn duty to protect the people and the state,” dagdag pa. RNT/JGC
