MANILA, Philippines – Naghain ng magkahiwalay na counter-affidavits si dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo sa mga reklamong tax evasion, falsification, at graft na inihain laban sa kanya sa Department of Justice.
Si Guo, na kinilala rin bilang si Guo Hua Ping, ay personal na dumalo sa preliminary probe ng DOJ.
Balot ito ng tactical protective gear at gwardiyado ng mga awtoridad.
“We just filed the counter affidavit for the cases. Tax evasion, falsification and. violation of 3019,” sinabi ng legal counsel ni Guo na si Atty. Nicole Jamilla, sa isang panayam.
Matatandaan na noong Agosto 2024, ay naghain ang Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) ng tax evasion complaint laban kay Guo, sa pagsasabi ni BIR Commissioner Romeo “Jun” Lumagui na bigo itong makapagbayad ng P500,000 ng buwis.
“There is actually no gain to begin with so there is no capital gains or there is no tax,” ani Jamilla.
Samantala, naghain din ng three counts of falsification of public documents ang National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) laban kay Guo noong Marso 2025 para sa tatlong deeds of sales.
“This is anchored again on the fact that she is allegedly not a Filipino citizen. So, we just reiterated our argument na Filipino citizen siya and there is no falsification of when she purchased real properties,” sinabi naman ni Jamilla.
Ani Jamilla, ang graft complaint na inihain sa DOJ ngayong taon ng NBI at Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission ay dahil sa pag-iisyu niya ng mga permit nang siya ay alkalde pa.
Sa counter-affidavit, itinanggi ni Guo na may paglabag siyang nagawa.
“She just performed her duties when she was a mayor and at the same time [she had no connection to] whatever transaction there is,” aniya.
Ayon kay Jamille, magkakaroon ng susunod na pagdinig sa unang linggo ng Hunyo.
Si Guo ay nahaharap din sa kasong qualified trafficking sa korte sa Pasig, graft case sa
Valenzuela court, at material misrepresentation case sa Tarlac court.
Inihain din ang quo warranto petition laban kay Guo sa korte sa Manila, maging ang petition to cancel ng kanyang birth certificate sa korte sa Tarlac.
