MANILA, Philippines – Nagpasa na ng kani-kanilang courtesy resignation ang mga kalihim ng iba’t ibang ahensya ng pamahalaan.
Ito ay kasunod ng panawagan ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. sa lahat ng kanyang mga gabinete na na maghain ng courtesy resignation upang nas maisaayos ang pamamahala sa publiko matapos ang halalan.
Department of Justice
Sa ulat, nagpasa si Department of Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla ng courtesy resignation bilang tugon sa direktiba ng Pangulo.
“I am a soldier. I serve at the pleasure of the president,” ani Remulla.
Ani Remulla, bilang lider ay mahalaga na mayroong kalayaan ang Pangulo na magtalaga ng mga taong pagkakatiwalaan nito sa iba’t ibang aspeto ng pamamahala.
“There’s always a review, that’s normal. It’s just so they have a free hand. Everyone has their own leadership style.”
Department of Energy
Inanunsyo ni Department of Energy Secretary Raphael Lotilla na nagpasa na rin siya ng resignation bilang suporta sa panawagan ng Pangulo.
Sa pahayag, sinabi ni Lotila na nagbitiw siya sa pwesto dahil nais niyang si Marcos ay “have a free hand in reorganizing his Cabinet for the remainder of his term and to express my full support for his presidency.”
Sinabi rin niya na nagsasagawa ang DOE ng pagsusuri ng mga accomplishment ng administrasyon sa sektor ng enerhiya at ang mga suliranin na kailangang tugunan.
“The mid-term is an excellent opportunity for taking stock and re-energizing the government’s efforts to serve our people better,” ani Lotilla.
“We at the department and its attached agencies are one with the President in working together to realize a future for all Filipinos where energy is accessible and affordable, reliable and resilient, and clean and environmentally sustainable,” dagdag pa
Si Lotilla ay itinalagang kalihim ng DOE noong 2022.
Department of Social Welfare and Development
Nagpasa na rin ng courtesy resignation si Secretary Rex Gatchalian ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) kasunod ng direktiba ng Pangulo nitong Huwebes.
Sa kanyang liham sa Pangulo, sinabi ni Gatchalian na ang kanyang resignation ay magiging “effective immediately.”
“Thank you for giving me the opportunity to work in this position for two (2) years and three (3) months,” saad sa liham ni Gatchalian sa Pangulo.
“I deeply appreciate the trust and confidence that was bestowed upon me, and to have served the people under this administration,” dagdag pa niya.
Nagpasalamat si Gatchalian “for the opportunity of serving our Filipino people.”
Siya ay itinalagang DSWD secretary noong Enero 2023.
Department of Budget and Management
“We all serve at the pleasure of the President. I support all of his decisions, knowing that they are always made with the best interest of the Filipino people in mind,” pahayag ni Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman.
Department of Finance
Samantala, sinabi naman ni Finance Secretary Ralph Recto sa kanyang pagpasa ng courtesy resignation na: “The President carries the heavy burden of leading the nation through complex global and domestic challenges. This bold decision was made with his desire to put people and country first.”
“I have already submitted my courtesy resignation without delay or reservation,” dagdag pa niya. RNT/JGC
