MANILA, Philippines – Pinangunahan ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang inaugurasyon ng Region 1 Medical Center Cancer Institute sa Dagupan City, Pangasinan noong Mayo 23, 2025.
Layunin ng bagong pasilidad na ilapit ang espesyalistang serbisyong pangkalusugan sa mga probinsya.
May makabagong kagamitan tulad ng MRI, CT scan, at linear accelerator, at nag-aalok ito ng libreng gamutan sa ilalim ng mga programa ng Department of Health.
Mula nang magbukas noong 2023, halos 60,000 na pasyente na ang kanilang natulungan.
Giit ng Pangulo, hindi tunay na progreso ang mataas na kita kung may pasakit sa kalusugan.
“This is a new facility that would address one of the greatest challenges of our time — cancer. During the time of my father, specialty hospitals were established in Metro Manila. But it is not enough that these hospitals are only in Manila, we need to make the services accessible considering that it is difficult to travel with illness so it is a big factor to have complete services in the province,” aniya.
