MANILA, Philippines- Isinumite na ng Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) sa Malacanang ang listahan ng mga maaaring pagpilian para maging susunod na Supreme Court associate justice.
Ito ang unang pagkakataon na magtatalaga si Pangulong Bongbong Marcos sa hudikatura.
Ang mapipili na bagong mahistrado ang papalit kay Associate Justice Mario Lopez na magreretiro sa June 4.
Kabilang sa nasa shortlist ay sina Court of Appeals (CA) Associate Justice Nina Antonio-Valenzuela, CA Associate Justice Ramon Mariño Bato, UP College of Law Dean at ngayo’y Solicitor General Darlene Marie Berberabe, CA Associate Justice Ramon Cruz, CA Associate Justice Maria Elisa Diy, CA Associate Justice Myra Garcia-Fernandez, CA Associate Justice Fernanda Lampas Peralta, CA Associate Justice Ronaldo Martin, Sandiganbayan Associate Justice Karl Miranda, CA Associate Justice Walter Ong, Court of Tax Appeals Associate Justice Maria Rowena San Pedro at Court Administrator Raul Villanueva.
Magugunita na idinaos ang public interview sa mga aspirante nitong May 14 hanggang May 16 at May 21 sa SC Session Hall. Teresa Tavares
