MANILA, Philippines – Hinimok ni Senador Raffy Tulfo ang airlines at security agencies ng ground handling staff na sangkot sa pagnanakaw sa P500,000 halaga ng alahas sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) na sibakin na ito sa trabaho.
Matatandaan na ang biktima na kinilalang si Kimberly Nakamura, ay nawalan ng kanyang alahas sa Naia Terminal 3 matapos sumakay sa kanyang Singapore-bound flight noong Hunyo 28.
Narekober ng mga awtoridad ang gamit matapos ang pag-backtrack sa closed-circuit television footage.
Ani Tulfo, natukoy na ang ground handling staff sa sangkot sa insidente at ini-refer na nila sa New Naia Infra Corp, Civil Aeronautics Board at airlines ang naturang isyu.
“But, the victim decided not to pursue the case against them since she was able to get back all her valuables including the box,” paliwanag ng senador.
“Since DOTr cannot pursue a criminal case of attempted theft without the affidavit and consent of the victim, Tulfo urged the airlines and security agencies of people involved to sanction their employees by terminating their employment to ensure that these acts will never be tolerated,” dagdag pa.
