MANILA, Philippines – Bumuo si Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ng Inter-Agency Task Force para sa paghahanda, organisasyon at pagho-host ng FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup (FFWWC) 2025 sa Pilipinas sa Nov. 21 hanggang Dec. 7.
Sa ilalim ng Administrative Order (AO) 35, tinintahan ni Pangulong Marcos noong July 30 at isinapubliko, araw ng Biyernes, ang task force ay uupuan ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) bilang chairman at ang vice chair naman ay ang Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
Ang iba pang miyembro ay kinabibilangan ng ‘tourism, foreign affairs, finance, budget, health, information and communications technology, public works, at transportation departments; Philippine National Police; Bureau of Immigration; Metropolitan Manila Development Authority; National Intelligence Coordinating Agency; National Bureau of Investigation; Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines; at Presidential Communications Office.’
Maaari namang mag-imbita ang task force ng ibang kinauukulang government agencies, at maging ang local government units (LGUs), non-government organizations, civil society groups, academe, at iba pang stakeholders bilang observers at/o resource persons para tumulong sa paghahanda para sa FFWWC 2025 hosting.
“The hosting of the FFWWC 2025 aims to advance the development of futsal in the country, inspire greater sports engagement among Filipinos, elevate the Philippines’ standing in the international sports arena, and generate economic and tourism opportunities through a globally recognized event,” ang nakasaad sa AO 35.
“The successful hosting of the FFWWC 2025 requires the involvement and support of all concerned government agencies, including government-owned or -controlled corporations (GOCCs), state universities and colleges (SUCs), local government units, and the private sector.” ang nakasaad pa rin sa AO 35.
Inatasan ang task force na bumalangkas at magpatupad ng mga plano, aktibidad at programa, kabilang na ang pagbili ng mga materyales at equipment, kinakailangan para sa matagumpay na hosting ng FFWWC.
Inatasan din ito na tiyakin ang koordinasyon ng lahat ng plano, programa at aktibidad na may kaugnayan sa hosting ng FFWWC 2025.
Sa ilalim ng AO 35, “the task force is allowed to accept donations, contributions, grants, bequests, or gifts from domestic or foreign sources, for purposes relevant to its mandates and functions, subject to relevant laws, rules and regulations.”
“All departments, bureaus, offices, agencies, and instrumentalities of the government, including GOCCs and SUCs, are directed, while LGUs and the private sector are encouraged, to extend full support and assistance to the preparation, organization, and hosting of the FFWWC 2025.” ang nakasaad pa rin sa kautusan.
Ang halaga na kinakailangan para sa implementasyon ng kautusan ay huhugutin mula sa anumang available funding ng concerned agencies, ‘subject to existing budgeting, accounting, and auditing laws, rules and regulations.
Ang AO 35 ay kagyat na magiging epektibo. /Kris Jose
