NEGROS OCCIDENTAL, Philippines – Nasamsam ng mga awtoridad ang mga ilegal na produktong liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) na nagkakahalaga ng P1.3 milyon sa Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, ayon sa Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) nitong Martes.
Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ng CIDG na nakumpiska sa operasyon sa Hacienda Elisa sa Barangay Granada ang mga refilled at empty butane canisters, 12 improvised refilling machine, 92 empty LPG tanks, at 3 filled LPG tanks.
Ang operasyon ay humantong din sa pagkakaaresto sa limang lalaki, na nahuling nagbebenta ng umano’y iligal na refined butane canisters mula sa mga tangke ng LPG.
Sila ay kinasuhan sa harap ng National Prosecution Service sa paglabag sa Batas Pambansa 33, o An Act Defining and Penalizing Certain Prohibited Acts Inimical to the Public Interest and National Security Involving Petroleum and/o Petroleum Products, na sinususugan ng Presidential Decree No. 1865.
“I commend the CIDG Negros Island Region (NIR) Regional Field Unit for their swift, and responsive police service led to the arrest of the suspects and confiscation of allegedly Illegally LPG products,” sabi ni CIDG Director Police Brigadier General Christopher Abrahano.
