MANILA, Philippines – Sinuspinde ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) ang drivers’ liecnse ng isang opisyal ng Zamboanga Peninsula regional office ng ahensya na nagmaneho ng pick-up truck sa isang tubigan sa Zamboanga Sibugay.
Sa pahayag nitong Sabado, Agosto 23, sinabi ng LTO na nag-isyu ito ng show cause order sa opisyal sa alegasyon ng reckless driving at pagiging “improper person to operate a motor vehicle.”
“It is not immediately clear if the driver was under the influence of liquor at the time of the incident but this will be one of the matters that will be looked into by LTO Intelligence and Investigation Division chief Renante Melitante,” paliwanag ng LTO.
Ang insidente ay nangyari sa Purok 4, Gandiangan sa bayan ng Imelda noong Huwebes ng hapon, ayon sa report ng Police Regional Office Zamboanga Peninsula (PRO 9).
“Based on the initial investigation, the LTO official was driving a pick-up truck from Pagadian City to Zamboanga City when he suddenly sped off. This resulted in the car plunging into a swamp and the video of it went viral,” ayon sa LTO.
Samantala, iniulat ng PRO 9 na, “The driver lost control of the steering wheel.”
Hindi naman nasaktan sa insidente ang drayber at tatlong pasahero nito na lahat ay tinukoy na mga empleyado ng LTO. RNT/JGC
