Adopt-an-estero project inilunsad sa Navotas

Nakipagtulungan ang Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Navotas sa Department of Environment and Natural Resources–Environmental Management Bureau (DENR-EMB NCR) at Therma Mobile, Inc. (TMO), subsidiary ng Aboitiz Power, para sa rehabilitasyon ng isang kilometro ng Navotas River sa ilalim ng Adopt-an-Estero/Water Body Program.

Nilagdaan nina Mayor John Rey Tiangco, DENR-EMB NCR OIC Engr. Divina Camarao, at TMO AVP Lou Jason Deligencia ang MOA na dinaluhan ng mga opisyal ng barangay at komunidad.

“Navotas is a coastal city that faces challenges from flooding and water pollution. By joining forces with DENR and Therma Mobile, we are making a strong commitment to cleaner waterways, healthier communities, and a more sustainable future for our people,” ani Tiangco.

Kasama sa kasunduan ang mahigpit na pagpapatupad ng environmental laws, tree planting at greening projects ng lungsod, water quality monitoring at educational campaigns ng DENR, at buwanang bioremediation at cleanup drives ng TMO.

Ang sampung taong partnership, na susuriin kada taon, ay bahagi ng mandato ng Korte Suprema para sa Manila Bay rehabilitation. Dagdag ni Tiangco, “This initiative is not just about cleaning our river. It’s about giving future generations of Navoteños a safer, cleaner, and more livable city.”
