MANILA, Philippines – Nakatakdang bumisita si Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Secretary Henry Aguda sa Masbate para suriin ang komunikasyon at internet connectivity sa probinsya.
Sa kanyang pagbisita, makikipagkita si Aguda kay Masbate Governor Richard Kho para ihatid ang 10 pang Starlink units.
Si Aguda, kasama ang iba pang telecommunications representatives, ay mag-iinspeksyon din sa ilang lugar katulad ng Masbate provincial office, suriin ang mga free charging sites, at alamin ang Wi-Fi connectivity sa lugar na iyon.
Samantala, sinabi ni DICT officer in charge regional director Rachel Ann Grabador na una nang naipadala ang tatlong Starlink units, 10 router, at 2kW solar-powered station sa Masbate bilang suporta sa komunikasyon at data gathering.
“We are here today in the province of Masbate to evaluate the situation of its ICT facilities, Sec. Aguda is also expected to arrive today to discuss further assistance that can be provided to the province,” ayon kay Grabador.
Aniya, inilagay ang Starlink units sa Masbate Airport communications tower at administrative office ng Masbate Provincial Hospital.
Layon ng inisyatibo na palakasin ang operasyon ng ospital partikular ang internal communications, records management, at mabilis na koordinasyon ng mga serbisyong medikal.
Aalamin din ng team ng DICT ang pinsala ng bagyong Opong sa kanilang free Wi-Fi units. RNT/JGC
