MANILA, Philippines – Para sa Makabayan Bloc ng Kamara, panggulo lang at pag iwas sa tunay na isyu ng korupsyon ang panawagan ni Sen Alan Peter Cayetano na snap election.
“This is typical obfuscation of the issue of corruption. Cateyano is trying to divert the focus from corruption accountability to snap elections, giving the illusion that corruption can be addressed simply through the electoral process that is still dominated by political dynasties and corrupt politicians,” ayon sa statement ng Makabayan Bloc.
Una nang sinabi ni Cayetano na nawala na ang tiwala ng taumbayan sa gobyerno at sa mga government offcials kaya ang dapat na gawin ay magbitiw at hayaan na magkaroon ng snap election.
“From The President, Vice President, Senate, and Congress. With One Important Addition – No Incumbent From The Above Can Run For 1 Election Cycle. National Government Has Its Bureaucracy And Will Continue To Run,” ayon kay Cayetano.
Giit ng Makabayan Bloc walang maganda sa suhestiyon ng senador.
“How will holding snap elections address the issue of accountability? The proposal is a distraction and a way to douse cold water on the people’s protests,” giit pa ng Makabayan. /Gail Mendoza
