MANILA, Philippines – Malugod na tinanggap ng mga senador nitong Miyerkules, Oktubre 15 ang anunsyo ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. na ila-livestream ang bicameral conference committee hearings para pag-usapan ang national budget.
Ayon kay Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III, sang-ayon siya sa open bicam ni Marcos.
“As a matter of fact, I specifically introduced that provision in our joint resolution with the [House of Representatives],” sinabi ni Sotto.
Sa panayam, sinabi ng Pangulo na nakausap niya sina Sotto at Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III kaugnay sa pag-livestream ng bicam hearings “to further encourage transparency.”
“We will livestream the entire process so that if there are questionable, shall we say insertions or additions or all that, it will also be clear who made those changes or who proposed those changes so that people will know,” ani Marcos.
Samantala, sinabi ni Senador Sherwin Gatchalian, chairman ng Senate finance committee, na ang bersyon ng Kamara ng General Appropriations Bill (GAB) ay nai-upload na sa website ng Mababang Kapulungan.
Naipadala na rin sa Senado ang digital copy ng GAB.
“This is the first time that the GAB has been uploaded and sent in digital format. Dati one copy lang of the [four] volumes of the GAB. Share share na mga senators,” ani Gatchalian.
Papadalhan ng digital copy ng GAB sa USB ang bawat senador ngayong Huwebes, Oktubre 16.
Matatandaan na nitong Lunes ay inaprubahan ng Kamara ang House Bill 4058 o bersyon nito ng proposed P6.793 trillion national budget para sa 2026 sa ikatlo at huling pagbasa.
Kabilang sa GAB ang realignments sa pagpapataas ng alokasyon sa education sector sa P1.28 trilyon. RNT/JGC
