NAKATANGGAP ang Navotas City ng maraming pagkilala sa 2025 Urban Governance Exemplar Awards ng Department of the Interior and Local Government–National Capital Region (DILG–NCR).
Nakakuha ang lungsod ng mga parangal para sa Ideal Functionality sa Local Council for the Protection of Children para sa Performance Year 2024.
Kinilala rin ito bilang isang Significant and Invaluable Partner sa pagsusulong ng ibinahaging pananaw ng isang ligtas, secure, at drug-free na kapaligiran sa National Capital Region.
Pinagmalaki ang Navotas dahil sa pagkakaroon ng Highly Functional Local Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and their Children.
Nakamit din ng lungsod ang High Compliance sa Manila Bay Clean-up, Rehabilitation, and Preservation Program (MBCRPP) Local Government Unit Compliance Assessment.
Nagranggo rin ang Navotas bilang Top Performer sa ilalim ng Informal Settler Families (ISF) Cluster at Most Improved sa ilalim ng Solid Waste Management (SWM) Cluster sa 2024 MBCRPP LGU-CA.
Bukod rito, nakapasok din ang lungsod sa Top 2 sa Fisheries Compliance Audit (FishCA).
Tinanggap nina Mayor John Rey Tiangco, kasama sina DILG Navotas OIC Director Ana Jury H. Castillo; Special Assistant to the Navotas Anti-Drug Abuse Council Chairperson and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Dr. Vonne Villanueva; Acting City Agriculture Officer Cheney Ville Gabriel; Acting City Environment and Natural Resources Officer Yzabela Bernardina Habunal; at City Social Welfare and Development Officer Jennifer Serrano, ang awards noong Martes sa Novotel Manila.
“We thank the DILG–NCR for these recognitions. They reflect the unity and dedication of every Navoteño toward a safer and more progressive city,” ani Tiangco.
Dagdag niya, ang awards ay nagbibigay-inspirasyon sa pamahalaang lungsod upang higit pang palakasin ang mga programang nagtataguyod ng child protection, women’s rights, environmental sustainability, at kaligtasan ng publiko.
“We will continue to improve our systems and services. Through collaboration and innovation, we aim to make our progress inclusive and sustainable for every Navoteño,” sabi niya.
Taun-taon iginagawad ng DILG–NCR ang Urban Governance Exemplar Awards upang kilalanin ang mga kontribusyon at nagawa ng mga lokal na pamahalaan sa buong Metro Manila. Jojo Rabulan
