MANILA, Philippines – Naghain ng petition for certiorari at mandamus ang environmentally group sa Korte Supreme laban sa Department of Environmental and Natural Resources (DENR) kaugnay sa pagbibigay ng impormasyon tungkol sa mga isyung pangkalikasan.
Partikular na pinalagan ng Legal Rights and Natural Resources Center Inc., kasama si Rev. Cerilo Casicas ng Diocese ng Marbel, South Cotabato ang patakaran ng DENR sa ilalim ni Sec. Perpetuo Lotilla.
Sa petisyon, kinuwestyon nila ang Freedom of Information Manual na ipinatutupad ng DENR.
Humihiling ang grupo ng temporary restraining order at ideklarang labag sa konstitusyon ang kautosan.
Kabilang sa mga respondents sa petisyon sina Executive Secretary Ralph Recto at DENR Secretary Raphael Lotilla. Jocelyn Tabangcura-Domenden
