MAGUINDANAO DEL NORTE, Philippines – Lahat ng pulis na naka-destino sa Camp S.K. Pendatun, himpilan ng Police Regional Office–Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR) sa Parang, Maguindanao del Norte, ay sumailalim sa isang biglaang drug test noong Lunes ng hapon.
Pinangunahan ni Brig. Gen. Jaysen de Guzman, police director ng Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), ang drug test na kanyang iniutos para sa lahat ng pulis na nakatalaga sa regional police headquarters.
“This initiative reinforces the Philippine National Police’s Internal Cleansing Program and affirms PRO-BAR’s commitment to maintaining a drug-free, disciplined, and trustworthy police organization,” ayon kay De Guzman sa isang pahayag noong Martes.
Aabot sa 800 pulis mula sa police headquarters at mga attached units na malapit sa kampo ang sumailalim sa drug test.
“This is the best time to start the New Year as far as we are concerned,” dagdag pa ni Guzman.
Ayon sa kanya, ang sinumang lalabas na positibo ay pansamantalang pipigilan sa loob ng kampo habang hinihintay ang kumpirmadong resulta. Sasailalim sa nararapat na aksyon ang mga pulis na may indikasyon ng paggamit ng ilegal na droga.
“I hope that no one among us will test positive for drug use. I am confident our police officers here are not using illegal drugs. But this drug test will prove if I am correct,” pahayag niya. RNT/MND
