MANILA, Philippines – Umabot na sa 3,968 ang plantilla positions ng Department of Justice (DOJ) nitong Marso 2026 bilang bahagi ng pagpapalakas ng serbisyo publiko, ayon kay Justice Secretary Fredderick Vida.
Mula ito sa 2,883 posisyon noong 2022, 3,025 noong 2023, at 3,240 noong 2024.
“Alam ninyo ba dati meron pa kaming prosecution office, marami ha, several, na iisa ang piskal. Siya ang magdraft, siya ang magre-review, siya din ang mag a-approve, di ba?” ani Vida sa isang briefing nitong Martes.
Ayon sa kalihim, layunin ng pagdagdag ng posisyon na matiyak ang sapat na tauhan at maayos na paghahatid ng serbisyo sa publiko.
“We ensured that with the creation of the new plantilla positions, the offices will be properly manned and the service will be properly delivered to our constituents,” dagdag niya.
Target ng DOJ na umabot sa 4,500 ang kanilang plantilla positions pagsapit ng 2028.
Iniulat din ni Vida ang pagtaas ng disposition rate ng ahensya mula 92.95% noong 2022 patungong 99.77% noong 2025, habang tumaas din ang prosecution rate mula 89.94% hanggang 90.84%.
Ayon sa DOJ, umabot na sa 1,621,721 reklamo ang kanilang nalutas.
“At the end of the day, better performance translate to efficient and effective delivery of public service, and numbers will not lie,” ani Vida.
“Of course, there are challenges still being faced by the department as of this time, and we intend to make good in all this, no?”
